Travellers Tales
May 6th - June 2nd

Artist's Statement -

Although I am not keen on compartmentalising art,
I do consider myself to be an artist printmaker and illustrator.
My work has a strong narrative content, as I prefer to create
images that have a meaning as well as being visually interesting
to the viewer. I use a wide range of techniques in my work
e.g. Screen Print - stencils and mono-screen print with wax
resist and water based crayons, Relief Print- collage and roller
inked, Intaglio collographs- chinecolle, roller / intaglio inking.
I also draw and paint with a variety of materials and collage to
create works on paper. The main influences on my illustrations
and print work have been the places I have travelled over the
last 10 years. It has long been my intention to put together an
exhibition of work on the theme of travel, linking all the different
tales I have heard or experienced as represented in my images.
